The Ritual is a percussion ensemble composed to invoke and awaken souls from beyond. Some of these rhythms originated in West Africa but continued to evolve through the Caribbean, in particular, Haiti, as well as parts of Louisiana, USA. This music can be used to portray rituals, ceremonials, offerings, and brethren.
